Derricks and Drifters

This painting was done in oils on a Masonite board. When oil towns were booming, saloons were thriving, and wet weather was everywhere a guy turned, drifters couldn't wait to reach the bunk house and settle in for some good cooking and a warm bed for the night. "Derricks and Drifters" were often seen together, cowboys trudging through rain and mud puddles to get to a better, cozier place.
