Under a Texas Moon
This painting was done in oils on a stretched canvas. When traveling downstate one time, we stopped at a large gas station in Sweetwater, Texas, and this old wooden wagon was parked in front of the gas pumps. I fell in love with it and took a photo, knowing I had to put it in one of my western paintings. And to me, night scenes evoke a good amount of emotion, so I combined the wagon with the moonlit night, three tired cowboys, and three beautiful horses to make this scene.
