Blanket of Blue
This painting was done in oils on a stretched canvas. The Texas hill country is a highly popular place to be, especially in April when the bluebonnets are in full bloom. I have seen them grow so thickly that an entire hill is covered with a "Blanket of Blue." And a twisted oak tree lends character to the field, creating a beautiful panorama for a painting.
