Waiting on the Cook
This painting was done in oils on a stretched canvas. A cowboy did a lot of waiting in his day, but no waiting so hard as for the chuck wagon cook to finish preparing supper after the ranch hand had worked all day moving cattle from one location to another. The call to chow was a long-awaited call indeed.
